791 TET Qualified Teaching Aspirants left Jobless : State Govt moves for 1,200 teachers recruitment by 2019

AGARTALA, July 13 (TIWN): Amid Govt’s attempt to increase the quality of education, teachers’ crisis has hit the schools in reality. Govt has decided also to transfer teachers from town areas to rural schools to mitigate the gaps. Education Dept has told media that 147 schools in Tripura having students bearing numbers of less than 10 students. In the contrary, the teachers crisis is not yet ended, neither the agonies of the B.Ed qualified, TET passed unemployed youths. At the same time, having a huge numbers of qualified people, Tripura facing towards massive unemployment rate at 26.2%. Around thousands of qualified job aspirants have expressed resentments about recruitment delays, which the Govt is unable to handle under unknown reasons. Tripura Govt has to focus on Teachers Recruitment as well as recruitments in other departments.Total 791 TET qualified B.ed holders are left jobless.Tripura has 147 schools where numbers of students are less than 10. Out of them 20 schools have been selected to serve the purpose.Around 700 teachers passed in TET waiting for appointments and also the situation for TPSC job aspirants are same.

 As teachers crisis, students crisis had led 20 schools in Tripura to be shutdown, the BJP led State Govt has decided to open these schools via private hands. Addressing in a press conference, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that the private authorities have to follow the Education laws strictly.For next 5 years, the schools have been allowed to use the ‘readymade’ infrastructure which were earlier invested by Govt of Tripura.

It was BJP to promise Tripura before Assembly Election 2018 to fillup 50000 posts in Govt depts in one year indeed. 

However, with a hope of employment generation, 1,200 teachers will be recruited by year ending, a report has said.

State Govt also had called for teachers’ recruitment with special relaxation of B.Ed. That exam will be conducted in November-December month of 2019.

Tripura has multi thousand B.Ed holders whereas huge numbers of TET qualified with B.Ed left jobless.

Teachers recruitment has ushered hopes among teaching job aspirants, but Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath earlier said that there are 14000 vacant posts available for teachers but due to lack of qualified candidates, these posts are left vacant, which is however not true.
