AGARTALA, July 9 (TIWN): Clash between ruling and opposition parties have been reported in Tripura centering upcoming Panchayat Election on July 27. Opposition CPI-M, Congress have reported violence and many injured, the ruling BJP has also reported violence which has left 17 activists injured in a recent clash between BJP and CPI-M at Dharmangar, Out of them one has been referred to Silchar and two more are in critical stage. Opposition alleged, maximum candidates could not submit nominations due to massive attack upon them. However, nomination submission has been completed on yesterday and now only 18 days left for Panchayat election.
Last date of withdrawal of candidates is 11th July and vote counting will be held on 31stJuly. Total numbers of Gram Panchayat seats are 6111 and Panchayat samiti 419 seats and 116 seats in Zilla Parishad.DMs will lead the districts as District Election Officers. Total numbers of voters 1203070. Numbers of male voters are 616893 and female voters 586176.Total 2623 polling stations will be set across 8 districts.
