AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): JUMLA Party's new poll culture of massive organized violence under a section of BJP’s criminal gangs leading public frustration, damaging image of the ruling Govt further. Congress has slammed BJP’s culture of violence whereas CPI-M candidates are unable to submit nominations. On yesterday also, in Sabroom opposition candidates were not allowed to submit nominations and from the office gate, BJP activists asked them to leave, raised eyebrows of critics, why BJP can not win a single election without violence and attacking oppositions ? In 2018 September, Tripura first time witnessed the poll rigging launched by any ruling party and 96% seats of Panchayat were won by force. In this ongoing Panchayat Election also the situation remained tensed due to massive violence sponsored by ruling BJP and everyday across state violence are taking place.Followed by a clash between BJP at Dharmanagar, North Tripura BJP activists allegedly attacked on CPI-M party office, generating much tension at there. The incident took place in Dharmanagar West Chandrapur area. However, in that case allegations came that BJP office was first attacked but another report said it was an infighting between two BJP groups and also public have allegedly revolted against BJP’s bike hooligans and burnt various vehicles.Public have demanded peace and immediate stoppage in the violence row, expressed frustration against the new poll culture.

Centering Panchayat Election, massive violence is going on in Tripura, however, this is the first incident when BJP activists were injured. Many times, BJP members have met in clash with each-others. Also, BJP came in fight with its own ally IPFT in this election.

Oppositions’ many candidates’ nominations have been snatched and on Friday 6 candidates of CPI-M were injured at Belonia. CPI-M MLA Sudhan Das’s old mother was hospitalized after CPI-M’s injured leaders took shelter in his home and BJP allegedly attacked there also, not allowing injured people to take in hospitals.
