AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb while inaugurating workshop on "Pradhan Mantri Kishan Sampada Yojna" at Prajna Bhawan in Agartala on Saturday has called youths to be entrepreneurs to help nation to strengthen economy. He also supported farmers’ subsidy which can expand economy of the nation.

‘Govt Jobs doesn’t help nation for strong economy, but entrepreneurship does’, Biplab Deb said today inspiring youths to be ‘independent’ who were attending the workshop.

Biplab Deb said, “Govt jobs are needed, but we have to keep in mind that Govt jobs can not strengthen economy. It is always nice to be independent and self-dependent. It not only helps the person but contributes to the nation”.

CM cited example, how Govt has introduced various relaxations for interested businessmen, mentioned further, about pension schemes introduced by PM Modi for small scale business.

Deb said, after BJP Govt took charge in Tripura, revenue income has increased 26% in compare to the previous Govt’s time.

Slamming the previous Governments ruled Tripura for long 40 years around, Deb said, it was an intrigue of the previous ruling Govts to create such a situation which will force people to remain bend to the Govt for Govt jobs.

He further mentioned, Tripura’s Govt employment rate is 4.2%, which is highest in the whole country.

“The previous Govt was missioned to control people by Govt jobs. It did not have any intention for development. Nothing was done for farmers and indeed farmers were the highest victims of their politics”, Deb said at Prajna Bhawan.

“Govt jobs do not increase GDP. It is expenditure only. But if we give subsidy to the farmers they will be inspired and their production will bloom, which is connected to the economic growth. Modi Govt is working for farmers’ income increasement”, he said.
