NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): BJP Govt’s false promises of 50,000 Jobs in 12 months and 7 lakhs Jobs within 30 months turned biggest fraud in Tripura’s Political history. When a poor state like Tripura, which has been suffered from revenue losses was depending upon the central govt, tension has erupted as Central Govt is facing tremendous criticism after budget left ‘clueless’ about job opportunities which was promised by PM Modi back in 2014. Even after having 45 years record breaking unemployment rate, there is no strategy which was said to reduce unemployment which may cause stress in states like Tripura where unemployment rates going higher and higher. The budget has been said steering for a rudderless economy, significance of this Budget is that it is coming at a time when there is a growth crisis looming large on the economy amidst a 45-year high unemployment and high farm distress. On the other side, Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy’s (CMIE) monthly report for June-2019 was published on Monday morning, once again, ranking Tripura as the topper state in unemployment rate.

On May-2019 the unemployment rate was 30.2% whereas this month it’s 26.2%. Still, Tripura tops in unemployment rate  in compare to other 29 states of India.

BJP led Central Government under the leadership of the then Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on February 11, 2018 had promised Tripura’s 7 lakhs unemployed youths that if BJP is voted to power then within one year State Govt will fill-up 50,000 vacant posts.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has congratulated Govt of India (GoI) led by PM Modi and also greeted Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for a visionary budget declaration.

Addressing media, Deb said, “Till date, nobody could think about pension system for unorganized sectors, small scale business. But this budget talks about that”.

“Within 2022 everyone in India will have Pakka Ghar and within 2024 all will have drinking water facility. Infrastructure development has given much special focus. Electronic system including E-Rickshaw, E-Vehicle have brought under tax relaxation. It will also help to reduce pollution in the environment”

“PM Modi’s target is to take GDP above 8% and I hope via this budget PM Modi will fulfill his New India dream”, said CM.
