Agartala, Oct 19 (TIWN): All Tripura Commercial Gas (PNG) Consumers’ Association is all set to move for legal assistance as the Tripura Natural Gas Corporation Limited (TNGCL) delivered extraneous large-amount bills to the commercial consumers showing the 9-year long arrear calculation.
According to the members of association, TNGCL has delivered ideated and illicit bills to the commercial consumers. They alleged, following a letter from Union Petroleum Ministry, TNGCL authority delivered these large-amount bills to the commercial consumers as per 9-year long arrear (01-07-2005 to 31-03-2014).
According to the general secretary of association- Dilip Kumar Majumder, some of the shops- Gopal Mistanna Bhandar of capital city have received a bill from TNFCL amounting 6.5 lakh (Arrear) while Laxmi Narayan Mistanna Bhandar received bill of Rs 7 lakh (Areer) of 9 years. The normal TNGCL bill for the commercial consumers is around Rs 20000-22000 per month.
To get relief from this trouble, the members of All Tripura Commercial Gas (PNG) Consumers’ Association Sunday conducted an important meeting at Agartala Press Club. During the meeting, several decisions were taken by the members.
The president of the association- Niranjan Saha informed that members will move to the court for legal assistance if the TNGCL authority remains silent on this issue. We have also appealed to the commercial consumers for not to pay the hiked bills, he said.
