AGARTALA, May 29 (TIWN): Saffron Mob Violence has been reported in various parts of Tripura even after Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s warning to party workers, raising question on the impact of Chief Minister’s words to own party workers. On yesterday, in Belonia Rajanagar area various families were attacked, whereas CPI-M MLA Sudhan Das has visited the victimized family members. At the same time, property damage incidents have been reported in few places. On yesterday holding a press conference at AICC’s Delhi headquarter demanded deployment of extra force in state if the State Govt can not handle the law and order situation. The Congress on Tuesday accused the BJP of violent attacks on Tripura electors who did not vote for it in the Lok Sabha election and sought deployment of the Assam Rifles, alleging the law and order in the BJP-ruled state has worsened.

Pradyot Manikya announced that demanding compensation from the State Govt and Election Commission, against the damaged done in last 5 days since result declaration of Lok Sabha Election, Congress is moving to the Supreme Court of India citing an example of a similar case filed in 1993 which was won by Tripura Congress.

“We are moving Supreme Court and will demand that the people who were killed their families should be given compensations, those whose houses, shops were vandalized or burnt should be given compensations. Citizens of Tripura deserve compensation regardless their identities of Congress, CPI-M and BJP”, said Pradyot Manikya.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Tuesday calling a press conference told media that in BJP's government history, there is no violence record like Tripura. He said, "It's my badluck that Tripura has been reeling under such level of violence".

Biplab Deb however said, the violence level has decreased in compared to the previous CPI-M Govt. He also read out few data with official case numbers registered in police stations since 2013.

Via media, Biplab Deb said, "I am asking all party workers regardless CPI-M, BJP, Congress to stop violence".

However, Biplab Deb admitted that BJP were more involved in violence as supporters of BJP are more in comparison with CPI-M and Congress.

Tripura’s former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Tuesday has slammed the BJP Govt for its failure to control law and order and BJP led massive violence, poll-rigging in the state of Tripura.

Manik Sarkar said such violence is not new but since the local body elections held in Tripura under BJP era, the same situation erupted again and again.

Manik Sarkar demanded, the people who were engaged behind violence should be arrested and asked the Govt to give police more freedom beyond politics.
