AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, May 19 (TIWN): Gramin Bank in Tripura has secured a record-breaking profit of Net-Banking in the year 2018-19, in the annual press conference, Tripura Gramin Bank heads have announced this.

It has been said that this net profit is the highest since the establishment from 1976.

“This is the first time that the bank has been able to cross the net profit figure of Century Crore Landmark”.

“The Bank has also recorded an operating profit of Rs. 227.92 crores during the Financial Year 2018019”, said the officials.

“The Bank has started the journey in the year 1976 with a loss of Rs. 3550.47 and it continued up to financial year 2000-01. Bank had started posting of net profit Rs. 21.49 lakh from the FY 2001-02 and still continuing in the reporting of 2018—19. Bank has wiped out the entire accumulated loss of Rs. 139. 40 crore in the Financial Year 2012-13 by registering net profit year on year basis”, the Bankers stated.
