Udaipur (Tripura), May 6 (TIWN): A complaint was submitted to the District Magistrate of Gomati District after a devotee was beaten by Matabari local shop-keepers.
Such “taking law in hand” practice has now increased in Tripura massively just like housewife’s hair chopped off, arrested journalist beaten in court premise. As no action are being taken in such cases, thus such mob violence are at rise. At the same time, centering the election violence training have added more mob-violence tendency among the public.
One Patal Kumar Noatia who came in the temple of Tripurasundari Goddess to sacrifice a goat along with his family was beaten by shop-keepers probably after he denied to buy sacrifice related items from the temple area.
He was stretched from the vehicle and beaten. Videos are going viral in this incident.
So far nobody was arrested, whereas culprit shop-keepers came out form 3 shops : 1) Karunamayi Peda Bhandar, New Tripureswari Peda Bhandar, Ramthakur Peda Bhandar.
The video shows that women who were inside the vehicle were also attacked by the mob.
