AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, May 5 (TIWN): CPI-M’s youth wings TYF, DYFI have condemned Education Minister Ratanlal Nath’s recently uttered insulting remarks against ad-hoc 10323 teachers violating Supreme Court of India’s verdict.

Addressing in a press conference, DYFI General Secretary Nabarun Deb said, “The Education Minister, who is holding a constitutional post,  not only insulted 10323 teachers, but also has insulted the Supreme Court of India by taking Court’s name to justify his lies”.

“Before the Assembly Election 2018, from Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma like leaders to many state’s leaders promised to solve the problems of 10323 teachers, whereas after coming in power, the Education Minister is engaged in insulting the teachers on their qualification”, said Ratanlal Nath.

“This is not a matter of joke that the Education Minister has uttered. Previously, Ratanlal Nath had visited schools, colleges, insulted lady teachers, found liquor bottles from school premise. But this time, he has insulted the Supreme Court also”, said Nabarun Deb.

DYFI, TYF have demanded that Govt should solve the problems of 10323 teachers and the Minister must do apology for his remark.

Also Nabarun Deb and TYF top leader Amalendu Debbarma questioned why even after Supreme Court’s order the Govt is not adding the service-years of the 10323 teachers after qualifying TET.

The controversy erupted after Education Minister Ratanlal Nath recently in an had called 10323 teachers as “incapable” and mildly-warned be replaced and send to homes once qualified teachers are found.

The 10323 teachers came in massive protest at Rabindra Bhawan premise on May 3rd latenight condemning the statement of the Minister.
