AGARTALA, Oct 14 (TIWN):According to overall improvent of situation Food and Civil Supplies department decided to withdraw rationing system of Petrol from tomorrow on October 15. However ban on selling petrol with any carrying accessories like cane or bottle will continue. Director of Food and Civil Supplies department press release informed today.
The Director stated that crisis of petrol created petrol retail outlets due to road blockade, landslide a on national Highway and manpower crisis during the vacation of Durgapuja. In such a situation order was served to introduce rationing at the agencies to provide petrol 2 to 5 liter to the cars, buses etc.The State Government tried its best to meet up the crisis .
After reviewing the situation it was identified that daily demand of petrol is one lakh twenty thousand liters in the state. He stated that import of 1 lakh 19 thousand litre petrol per day is possible after huge demand. Although import of same amount of petrol was not possible during last 28 days due to different problems.He also stated that 99 petrol tankers arrived in the state till today and 37 tankers are on the way to reach Agartala soon.
