AGARTALA, April 24 (TIWN): After East Tripura poll was conducted in 80% better form and fair means than the West Tripura poll held on 11th April, Congress State President Pradyot Manikya said that due to central forces the election was conducted in fair means.

 Pradyot Manikya also appreciated state police’s role during the election.

The Congress leader further thanked Election Commission of India (ECI) for saving democracy.

Pradyot said, “On 11^th April, our state’s political picture was darkened and with East Tripura poll, the image has once again developed. It is good for Tripura”.
