After getting a call from the Governor, the victim Soma Majumder along with her lawyer met the Governor at Raj Bhavan and narrated her ordeal aftermath of brutal torture upon her on eve of Laxmi Puja.

After paying a patience hearing on the victim, Tripura Governor P.B. Acharya at Raj Bhavan yesterday asked the Inspector General of Police (IGP)- Anurag Dhyankar to conduct an impartial investigation into the Chandrapur (Tata Kalibari) incident.

The Governor has also exhorted the top cop to ensure that witnesses could give statement before the trial court without any fear. The police authority was also asked to provide security to the victim.
