KAMALPUR, OCT. 14, (TIWN) : Within 48 hours of rationing of petrol started, the crisis of petro and the ‘NO PETROL’ board at the filling station once again hit Kamalpur severely. And grabbing the opportunity, the black-marketers are pocketing huge profit by selling a litre of petrol even at a rate of 250 rupees.

According to the owner of the sole petrol pump of the subdivision, Annapurna Filling Station, the petrol has emptied and now the same can be distributed only after filling the tanker once again. However, in open markets, some businessmen close to the owner are selling petrol with inflated prices of Rs 200 to 250 per liter. Furthermore, some near and dear ones of the owner are filling their vehicles with tank-full of petrol. Some public of Halhali also informed on the condition of anonymity that each and everyday some drums filled with petrol are being shifted to open market at night or at dawn very secretly. In fact, there is a strong idea among the consumers that, the crisis is created by the owner himself to grab much benefit  taking advantage of the situation. To keep the situation under control, the authority started distributing diesel from today. But petrol still remains a matter of crisis and headache for common people.  Now, common people want strict surveillance on the part of the administration to cop with the situation. The role of administration is the matter to watch now.
