AGARTALA, April 18 (TIWN): Congress has demanded resignation of Chief Minister Biplab Deb right now as he has failed to keep his basic promises including law and order.

Congress leader Tapas Dey said, Biplab Deb promised to give a good governance by replacing CPI-M’s terror era, but so far the situation is deteriorating and total lawless era is going on across the state under Biplab Deb.

“Biplab Deb raised slogan that goonda and mafia raj will be omitted forever from Tripura. Rather in last 13 months the law and order has been collapsed by Biplab Deb”, Dey said.

“Thousands of houses were burnt, hills to plain areas have been blooded in terror. Mafias have occupied administration. Money extortion has become a daily issue under BJP led organized gang. Crores are profited from the smugglers in ganja nexus. Before election go-mata was worshipped but today illegal trade with cows on the peak”, said Dey.

“Democracy is totally destroyed today and the state is under the clutches of few close persons of Chief Minister Biplab Deb. Election Commission clearly said law and order is not stable”, he added.
