AGARTALA, April 13 (TIWN): After massive poll rigging on 11th April during West Tripura constituency election, Congress State President Pradyot Manikya on Saturday has warned BJP goons to stay away from any kind of violence in coming days or Congress will counter if in the next election date same thing attempts to be repeated. “We will not do any goondagiri, but common men will answer you (BJP) if you adopts goondagiri on April 18”, said Pradyot Manikya. He further stated that few goons alone can not do anything except threatening and urged common men to cast votes on April 18 by overcoming all fears. Pradyot Manikya further warned the hooligans saying, “After April 18 all your MLAs and Ministers will forget you and then we will see what we do to you. People of Tripura know how to answer. I also want to urge the voters that voting is your right and these 5 / 6 goons can’t make you weak. Same, we urge police, BSF CRPF, TSR to control the situation but still if the BJP goons starts goondagiri on poll day, we will find out each way to counter them. We will not do any goondagiri, but public is with us and you (BJP) do not scare the public”.

“Vote is people’s right. It’s their wish whom they will vote regardless CPI-M, IPFT, Congress BJP or NOTA. Whom they will vote it’s not BJP’s duty to tell them. BJP should also not promote them, because later it kills the image of BJP only”, said Pradyot Manikya.

Taking a dig at CEO Sriram Taranikanti, who didn’t use central forces during election, Prdayot Manikya said, “Today Congress has submitted complaint to the Election Commission. We have demanded re-polling and suspension of all corrupt officials, because as CEO it’s not his duty to favour a particular party, rather he was to work for people”.

“Today West MP candidate Subal Bhowmik, senior Vice President Pijush Biswash have gone to Delhi. Along with AICC leaders, these two leaders have gone to Election Commission. An official former complaint has been filed with demand of re-poll. There were also demand of removal of returning officers and their suspensions”, said Pradyot Manikya.
