‘BJP’s massive rigging, capturing booths beyond our imagination’, says Sitaram Yechury : CPI-M demands re-polling, Biplab-Pratima criminals destroy Democracy

AGARTALA, April 11 (TIWN): CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury who arrived in Tripura to hold a campaigning for the East Tripura, was complained with West Tripura poll issues as massive rigging and snatching of voters’ rights were going on during the poll hours throughout Tripura. Also a complaint was lodged in the Election Commission and State Election Commission has informed that both State-Centre election Commission will sit together today and will take a report on Tripura poll rigging. Yechury while addressing media said, BJP hooligans will enter inside the booths which was beyond our imagination. “We already informed the EC about the sensitive areas of polling but booth-capturing has surprised us. So, let the Election Commission take its own decision but we demand re-polling in those booths which were captured”, said Yechury. Total 410 booths were captured. CPI-M State General Secretary Gautam Das said, the numbers of captured booths will be increased.The webcameras were destroyed in maximum spots where riggings were done. Muslims voters were not allowed to cast votes saying they are not Indians.

Gautam Das while giving details of captured booths reported till 3 pm named : 1) Simna (2 booths), 2) Mohanpur (13 booths), 3) Bamutia (2 booths), 4) Barjala (35 booths), 5) Khayerpur (50), 6) Agartala, 7) Ram Nagar (30 booths), 8) Town Bordowali (4 booths), 9) Majlishpur (55 booths), 10) Mandai (16 booths), 11) Takarjala, 12) (Pratapgarh 12 booths), 13) Badharghat (16 booths), 14) Kamlasagar (18 booths), 15) Bishalgarh (16 booths), 16) Golaghati (5 booths), 17) Suryamaninagar (16), 18)Charilam (8 booths), 19)Boxonagar (1 booth), 20) Nalchar (5 booths), 21) Sonamura (17 booths), 22)Dhanpur (24 booths), 23)Bagma (3 booths), 24)Radhakishorepur (10 booths), 25) Matabari (8 booths), 25) Rajnagar (31 booths), 27)Belonia (13 booths), 14) Santir Bazar (23 booths).
