AGARTALA, April 9 (TIWN): 13 months old Biplab Deb led JUMLA Govt sealed fates of Tripura's 7 Lakhs unempoyed youths as NO MORE GOVT Job recruitments by Tripura BJP Govt. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Assam Minister Himanta Biswa, BJP Spokesman Ashok Sinha cheated Tripura’s 7 lakh unemployed youths, who promised that if they vote for his party 50,000 vacant posts in Govt Depts will be filled up within one year. BJP’s Vision Document unfurled by Arun Jaitley on 11 February,2018, it says in page 6 Point No-7, “There are about 50,000 vacancies in the state government. We will fill up all these vacancies within a year through a transparent process”.Earlier even though in CPI-M Govt’s time, BJP day-night lamented crocodiles tears for unemployed youths and fooled with JUMLA promises, in December 17, 2018 in an order Finance Dept said that Tripura having the “highest numbers of Govt employees” and there is no need of any more Govt employee unless the posts are vacated by surrender or retirement.

In a notification No.F 9 (2) FIN (G)/ 2017/ 711 dated December 17, 2018 Chief Secretary L K Gupta said, “Tripura has the highest level of Govt employment in the country. The level of employment is doubled in Tripura in compare to the states like Meghalaya. Needless to say, there is need to be extremely prudent in the matter of further recruitments”.

The notification further says, “Creation of posts will be strictly depend of availability with budgetary resources with Department concerned. Each dept has a number of posts created in the past, which are vacant and no longer required. Hence whenever a department submits a proposal of post creation it should be accompanied with surrender/ abolition of posts with equivalent financial  implications”. In the order it was also mentioned if rules are not followed, then dire consequences will be seen.

Chief Minister Biplab Deb on his maiden visit to Delhi after swearing-in gave an interview to Times of India(ToI) Journalist Mohua Chatterjee promising 7 lakhs Job creation within first 30 months which was published to ToI & many other national media on March 23,2018.

National media & TIWN were skeptical on Biplab Deb’s gigantic claims but after 9 months of poor governance it is crystal clear that Chief Minister only thrown FAKE promises to fool media & masses as nowhere near 7 Lakhs Job creation is possible within 30 months.

Amid much boasting about transparent recruitment policy and ‘Swarojgar’ for the unemployed youths, Tripura has been strict to the top position in unemployment rate with abnormal figure of the unemployment percentage. Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy Pvt. Ltd. (CMIE) has revealed monthly report on unemployment which has ranked Tripura as topper in unemployment rate with 32% in November month. The state which tops second in unemployment rate is Haryana with 19.2% whereas both Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh’s unemployment rate is 19.1%. Oher Northeast states as Assam’s unemployment rate is 8.2%, whereas Meghalaya only 3%. Tripura which was recorded with 15% of unemployment rate highest under the previous Govt, now resulted in double unemployment rate than earlier, whereas the BJP before election had promised as soon as BJP will make a Govt in Tripura, within 1 year 50,000 vacant posts will be filled up.

Instead of recruiting, BJP Govt has cancelled all existing recruitments. Most surprisingly Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) which is autonomous body, has cancelled many recruitments, which were going since two years.

Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) even though autonomous body has cancelled at least 11 existing recruitments has fueled massive resentment effecting thousands of jobs aspirants.

In many of the recruitments, already many were selected but under BJP Govt pressure TPSC was bound to cancel of them.

The cancelled 11 recruitments of TPSC are : 1) Assistant Professor in Law, Tripura Govt. Law College under Education (Higher) Department, Govt. of Tripura, 2) Statistical Inspector, under Labour Department, Govt. of Tripura, 3) Inspector of Factories in the Factories & Boilers Organization under Labour Department, Govt. of Tripura, 4) Scientific Officer under PWD (DWS), Govt. of Tripura, 5) Inspector of Boilers in the Factories & Boilers Organization under Labour Department, Govt. of Tripura, 6) Principal, Technical (Engineering) Degree College (i.e. TIT) Tripura under Education (Higher) Department, Govt. of Tripura,7) Curator, Tripura State Museum under the Education (Higher) Department, Govt. of Tripura, 8) Principal, College of Teacher Education (CTE) under the Education (Higher) Department, Govt. of Tripura, 9) Lecturer, Diploma Level Technical Institutions in Tripura Under Education (Higher) Department, Govt. of Tripura, 10) Sub-Inspector of Excise under Excise organization, Finance Department, Govt. of Tripura, 11) Agriculture Officer TAFS under the Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Tripura.
