KADAMTALA, April 8 (TIWN): Tripura’s 20 years long ruling former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Monday has hit Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and other Central, State BJP leaders for their fake promises to the people of Tripura ahead of Assembly Election 2018.

Addressing in a rally at Kadamtala in MP Jitendra Chaudhury’s campaigning for April 18 poll, Manik Sarkar raised Vision Document related promises from social pension to 7th Pay Commission have been scripted.

Manik Sarkar said, “Before election, I could also lie to people that after coming in power we will give 7th Pay Commission, but Leftists do not lie. Leftists infact worked beyond promises. What we said, we did more than that but like BJP we never lied to people”.

“The central leaders continued to say that all states of India gave 7th Pay Commission except Tripura and people also believed that story as all big personalities from the central cabinet were saying that. In reality maximum states indeed could not give 7th Pay Commission. Instead of doing fake promises like BJP, we (Left Govt) raised question, how they would give 7th Pay Commission?”, said Manik Sarkar.

He further asked about pending DA which always in each 6 month were allocated by the Left Govt.

Noteworthy, BJP in Tripura has just increased 0.34 factor with effect of October 2018, whereas in Vision Document promise was given to allocate double-salary, 7th Pay Commission as it is with effect of January 2016, which has erupted massive resentments.
