AGARTALA, April 6 (TIWN): With another major blow for IPFT, IPFT's maximum leaders, MLAs to align with Congress sidelining NC Debbarma, Mebar Jamatia.

The aligning programme likely to be held on April 8 in the presence of a Central Congress leader, a source has informed. On the other side, IPFT Vice President Ananta Debbrama has resigned IPFT alleging unwanted happenings in the party.

The landslide in IPFT started after few women top leaders had resigned the party and joined Congress followed by around thousands of supporters have officially joined Congress leaving IPFT in the last week. The landslide in IPFT started since Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) issue which was attempted by BJP Govt to pass in the Parliament by force and IPFT Ministers NC Debbarma and Mebar Jamatia never spoke out against CAB.

At the same time, Chief Minister Biplab Deb continued his insulting remarks against IPFT leaders and he called them “goats” also, but observing IPFT’s two Ministers no interest to protest against BJP’s undemocratic moves, an internal clash has hit the IPFT party. IPFT Vice President’s resignation is another outcome of such clash.
