AGARTALA, April 6 (TIWN): Hitting upon Modi Govt’s failed projects and fake-Desh-Bhakti in last 5 years, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury on Saturday while addressing in Lok Sabha Election campaigning in Agartala said, “Narendra Modi who claims himself as the Chowkidar of the country in reality is a Sleeping Chowkidar, whose work is to dream each night and to tell everyone a new story out of itâ€. Referring a Telegu Story, Yechury said a factory owner’s chowkidar was very skilled story-teller who every morning briefed his owner what he saw in his dream but one day his owner rewarded his Chowkidar for his stories but also terminated him from his job. When asked the factory owner said, ‘I kept you for Chowkidari not to sleep and dream’. Referring this story Yehcury added, “Narendra Modi is just like the Sleeping Chowkidar whom people of India will terminate in Lok Sabha Electionâ€. Yehcury also gave example of various projects as bogus like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Make in India, Startup project and many more.
Yehcury further said, “Winning of CPI-M MPs in the upcoming Lok Sabha Election is very much important. This election is different than all other election held in the country since independence. This is the fight for constitution and democracy”.
“Today democracy, liberalism, constitution all are under severe attacks but people don’t have right to speak. Every BJP ruled states have set private armies to torture the common. Who will eat what wear what, all BJP wants to dictate”, said Sitaram Yechury.
Talking about the economic condition of the country, Yechury said, “GST has destroyed all medium, small scale business. When 2 crores of jobs per year was promised, now terminations have become youths’ fates”.
“Now public are saying previous days were better than Modi’s Achhe Din”, added Yechury.
“Modi’s Achhe Din only came for so many Modis as Lalit Modi, Nirav Modi and Rafale scam figure Anil Ambani. Modi has given free hand for corporates to loot the country”, Yechury told the gathering.
He further disclosed that 95% Election fund went to BJP according to Election Commission’s report.
Hitting BJP on its Communal Politics, Yechury said, “Today country need NITI not NETA and thus to restore democracy vote for Left candidates. In Modi era, lowest numbers of Parliament days were counted which shows the Modi Govt is not at all interested to answer to the opposition”.
