Later, out of legal action’s fear, Kanti Saha released both the leaders who were working for CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad Dutta. Attack on MP Shankar Prasad Dutta was expected as he is opponent of Pratima Bhowmik, the Crime Queen with tainted background, who was once arrested in allegation of killing own brother Biswajit Bhowmik’s wife. Even after various footage, proofs of the ongoing attacks on opposition went viral, police haven’t taken action under the threat of Pratima Bhowmik and her followers. On the other side, landslides in BJP has been continued as party leaders have started quitting due to Pratima Bhowmik’s control on the party but amid all such allegations Biplab Deb is more focused on Pratima Bhowmik’s seat, where East Tripura’s seat of BJP MP candidate Rebati Tripura has been sidelined.
