AGARTALA, March 27 (TIWN): NCC PS OC has released CPI-M leaders who were arrested illegally by him after BJP MLA Krishnadhan Das threatened him.
To disrupt CPI-M MP Shankar Prasad Dutta’s election campaigning and to counterattack CPI-M lodged FIR of violence against MLA Krishnadhan Das, two top CPI-Mleaders of Mohonpur Swapan Nag, Swapan Deb were arrested by NCC Police on Monday night and till 3 pm today both of them had not been produced before the court.
Police was trying to associate both the leaders with fabricated cases.
CPI-M State General Secretary Gautam Das has warned legal action against the OC.CPI-M had also requested the Election Commission to suspend the OC immediately.
Out of legal action fear, later police released both of them.
