AGARTALA, October 11 (TIWN): Tripura is becoming a heaven for criminals these days because Tripura’s ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist) led Left Front government is giving full protection to the criminals of the state, said MLA Ashish Saha in a meeting of Tripura Pradesh Congress Seva Dal at Congress Bhavan, here, today.
The voice of democracy is suppressed in Tripura for long time. The MLA criticized Tripura’s Left Front government for under-development and silence in the national politics over problems of the state. “Tripura had political stability for the past 2 decades. How come poverty is still rising and development is running at such slow pace?” he asked. He slammed the state government over its industrial policies. Mr. Saha also charged the CPI(M) party as well over corruption, lack of decision and action in developing the State.
He stated that rather than Congress there is no other party which can take a stand against the CPIM to brush it out completely from the nation. CPIM’s lantern are now only flamed by the oxygen getting from Tripura and Kerala but now Congress will cut down the oxygen sources as people of Tripura has already started to understand what is the meaning of ‘Parivartan’ added Ashish Saha.
It is the height of untruth and hypocrisy on the part of BJP and its leadership to denounce and criticize the performance of Congress party while taking full benefit of the heightened and growing stature of India at the international level," he said.
India has been acclaimed as an emerging power by the International community, our accomplishments in space research has become a cynosure for the entire world, and yet our Prime Minister is hammer and tongs to criticize the Congress party, Saha said.
