Agartala, Oct 10 (TIWN): The victim of Chandrapur brutal incident- Soma Majumder (Debnath) will visit Tripura Governor- P.B. Acharya alongwith video footage as proof at Governor House seeking stern action against accused persons (allegedly CPIM supporters) on tomorrow. The victim has also been planning to visit Tripura Chief Minister tomorrow.
In connection, Tripura Pradesh Mahila Comgress will visit Director General of Police on this humiliation issue by 4.30 pm seeking proper investigation, this evening.
According to the locals adjoining to the victim’s house, police had sought time for 12 hours to take necessary action against the accused persons but failed to do so. As a result, the locals are likely to encircle the East Agartala Women police station by 5.30, this evening.
The victim alleged that a section of doctors of Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) hospital work for the ruling government as the doctor did not mention about any physical assault in the prescription.
The chairperson of Tripura Commission for Women- Purnima Roy, president of Tripura Pradesh Mahila Congress- Kalyani Roy, Member of Parliament (MP)- Jharna Das Baidya including many others expressed condemn about the incident.
It is to be mentioned here, all the 18 FIR named persons have surrendered before the court on October 7.
Another example of how women are hapless in lawless Golden Tripura and also media-shy DGP avoiding any comments and actions on this issue.
