SONAMURA, March 6 (TIWN): Tripura Health Minister Sudip Barman has hit the local BJPs leaders of Sonamura who attempted to exclude opposition leaders from Govt programmes and thus elected members couldn’t arrive due to BJP’s threat.

This culture has however become a trend and delivering political speech in each ground either parents meeting or Fishery College has been the habit of even Chief Minister Biplab Deb.

However, today Health Minister Sudip Barman clearly said during inauguration programme of “Free Laboratory” at Sonamura sub-divisional Hospital, Melaghar that such kind of programme is meant not for political propaganda and thus he personally invited all local leaders from various parties to attend.

But his attempt was interfered and Barman thus hit own party’s policy.

Recently. 19 hospitals in Tripura were facilitated with free medical tests on Saturday including Sonamura and today’s programme was a party of it.

Addressing the programme Sudip Barman said, “There are huge numbers of patients each year travelling outside by selling off their properties for treatment, whereas if in state such facility can be introduce then it will also strengthen the economy, generate employment. Today’s inaugurated free medical service will also increase the affordability of the common men”.

Along with IGM hospital, 6 District Hospitals and 12 subdivisional hospitals from now have that free medical test facility.

Sudip Barman further said, “Many times, suddenly someone  becomes ill. Sometimes unwanted incidents happen on road, but the people have to wait for the tests till they arrange the money/ With the free medical treatment service, this problem will end”.
