AGARTALA, March 5 (TIWN): TET qualified 296 teachers who passed in 2018’s September test yet to be appointed, whereas Govt has invited fresh applications with special relaxation for non-B.Ed candidates. It has not only erupted resentment among B.Ed ongoing and passed out candidates but also uncertain future of 296 TET qualifier are visible. Even having around 7000 B.Ed qualified and undergoing candidates, Tripura govt begged one time relaxation in TET examination from central govt and accordingly central govt also accepted the plea on the ground of the fact that in Tripura there is shortage of qualified teacher to provide quality education, but the reality is totally different as multi-thousand B.Ed qualifiers are in Tripura left as unemployed. There is no double by appealing the central govt for special relaxation, the BJP Govt has manipulated the fact.

But TRBT conducted TET exam in September 2018 before getting one time relaxation’s permission from centre. The candidates said that the exam was so hard that only 20% candidates are qualified. But in that exam 354 candidates qualified for TET 1  and 437 candidates qualified for TET 2 exam .

Meanwhile in December 2018 , TRBT again conducted TET session 2 for 2018 , on the issue that TET session 1 qualified teacher are very small against the huge vacancy in elementary education. The result of second TET was also announced.

But on 2/3/2019 Govt again published a notification for TET session 1 whereas it was only published for 180 post for TET 1 (class 1-5) and 315  post for TET 2 ( class 6-8).

In total 791 Tet qualified teacher were there from session 1 TET exam 2018 , but could only provide only 495 post , as a result 296 teacher are going to be deprived form getting job.

Now job aspirants have raised question, if govt is not able to provide job  only 791 TET qualified teacher, how ow can they provide around 7000 to 8000 teacher job through one-time relaxation ?

There are 354 Tet-I  qualified teacher ( UGT ) and 437 TET-II  qualified teacher (GT) . In total-791 candidates. But the govt gave only 180 (UGT) and 315 (GT) . In total- 495 post, resulting around 250-300 TET qualified candidates aren’t getting jobs.
