UDAIPUR, October 7 (TIWN): Three wards in Dudhoushkarini Panchayat were badly damaged as cyclonic storms hit three wards on Monday night. A team of Disaster Management and Sub Divisional admi I station rushed to the spot to the aid of the people. SDM Ajit Debnath assured the people all possible steps to help them overcoming the situation.

     It is learnt that at around 1.20am on Monday midnight a cyclonic storm hit Ward no 1,2 and 6 of Dushpushkarini Panchayat and as result of it more than five hundreds trees fell down causing severe damages to the houses of some of the people living in this area. Moreover, one anganwadi centre and three houses were badly damaged by the sudden storm. Interestingly no damages were done to the near by villages. SDM Udaipur as well as the Disaster Management Team visited the affected areas on Tuesday afternoon.

      After observing the affected areas SDM Udaipur Ajit Debnath told TIWN," ADMINISTRATION will definitely look into the matter and will provide as much as financial assistance as possible." Dudhpushkarini Panchayat Pradhan Ranjit Majumder told TIWN on Tuesday night," We ate happy that administration has come to the aid of the people in time of crisis. A team of experts will inspect the overall damages and soon after the reports are submitted SDM will release funds for rebuilding. Again the Aganwadi will be repaired by Thursday morning," said Ranjit Majumder.
