AGARTALA, Feb 17 (TIWN): Tripura State Congress on Sunday rang the bell of “Chowkidar Chor Hai” while launching booth level conference of Congress in Tripura. During one day visit in Tripura, AICC Secretary Bhupen Borah has marked PM Modi as ‘Chowkidar Chor hai’ referring Anil Ambani led alleged Rafale deal scam."Today you go to any corner of India, everyone is saying Chowkidar hi chor hai. Lakhs and crores of rupees have been given to the people like Anil Ambani, Nirav Modi but farmers got nothing from Modi”, he said, referring to the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, under which farmers cultivating up to two hectares (five acres) will get direct cash support of Rs 6,000 annually. He promised that if the Congress was voted to power after the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, a minimum income guarantee would be provided to the poor and the money would be deposited directly into their bank accounts.

Taking a dig at Tripura’s 11 months old BJP Govt, the Congress national leader further has slammed the BJP Govt in Tripura for its failure to generate employment.

Targeting Chief Minister Biplab Deb for his continuous insults to the unemployed youths by suggesting them to rear cows to earn, Borah said, in last 1 year BJP could not generate employment except suggesting youths to rear cows..

Borah was addressing in a party conference organized for Tripura Congress at Agartala and said, Congress members have to raise BJP Govt’s failure before the people and expose their (BJP’s) lies.

The statement came from Bhupen Borah after Chief Minister Biplab Deb was nationally criticized when he suggested youths to rear cows instead of running for a Govt job.

Hitting BJP for losing the elections in Chhattisgarh, Rajastan, Borah congratulated the people of there “cleaning dirt” from their homes. He continued attacking the Modi government on the Rafale scam and alleged that the crop insurance scheme was a bigger scam.
