When State Govt to release Report on Jirania Violence ?? 1 month, 9 days crossed after brutal firing by state police

AGARTALA, Feb 16 (TIWN): The BJP Govt is still answerless to the people of its state on Jirania, Madhabbari violence took place on January 8. Denying the demand of Judicial investigation, the Govt stood by Magisterial investigation, promising within 1 month the report will be published. Chief Minister Biplab Deb holding a press conference ordered Magisterial investigation of that incident, but 1 month, 9 days have already crossed, no report yet came. The opposition had demanded Judicial investigation in the violence as video footages were recovered where police’s brutality was exposed. The political tornado centering Jirania Police firing against agitators of Citizenship Amendment Bill in Tripura ahead of Lok Sabha Election started after state police led by SP West Ajit Pratap Singh started firing without prior announcement and that shooting injured 6 youths critically. The victim side said that during a road blockade in peaceful movement, two teams came face to face but suddenly police started firing but for that police neither announced anything in prior led the brutal incident.

Opposition parties on that time demanded, Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s resignation from Home Ministry as well as from Chief Ministry, but Biplab Deb assured justice promising within 1 month of the Magisterial investigation report will be given.

However, with a major relief the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill could not be passed in the Rajya Sabha. There will be also massive celebration with a victory rally to be launched by Pradyot Manikya. MP Jitendra Chaudhury said, ““Rajya Sabha has gone sine die up to June without Passing Citizenship Amendment Bill, Now BJP has to be defeated to finally bury Citizenship Amendment Bill”.

When Northeastwide Citizenship Amendment Bill’s lapse is now being celebrated, Tripura rejoicing after the good news came from Rajya Sabha, followed by bullet hitting episode launched by Home Ministry of Biplab Deb on January 8, 2019 when 6 youths of Tripura left critically injured in police firing in addition of attempt of murder of the injured youths in the ambulance by TSR, Biplab Deb on Wednesday after Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) was lapsed in Rajya Sabha claimed, he would never allow any people of Tripura to be under any attack.

He further claimed that form rumour spreaders to common men, all are the people of Tripura to him. Being asked by media regarding the updates of Tripura Royal Scion Pradyot Manika’s various claimed, Biplab Deb ignored to answer the media.
