Agartala, October 6 (TIWN): The prime accused of Multicrore scam under Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA), Arnab Chakraborty had been sent again to fourteen days Jail Custody on Sunday. On Sunday he was produced before the court. Alongwith him, his wife Sangeeta Chakraborty and mother Kajal Rani Chakraborty was also sent to the jail custody. Earlier they were interrogated in the police remand.

 During interrogation, Arnab disclosed many facts regarding RMSA funds, involvement of higher-up officials and secret behind staying on unauthorized leave for months. He also told that the higher authorities prompted and encouraged him to withdraw money by forgery so that all involved officials can get some percentage out of it. During his recent withdrawls, Arnab has taken out two and half crore rupees. From that 1 crore kept by him and the rest amount passed to other three higher officals. Though Police did not disclose the name of these higher authorities. Earlier based upon Arnab’s statement, police team led by Investigative officer Sanjay Biswas, DIG (Southern Range) Uttam Kumar Majumder, SP West Bijay Nag, Addl SP Jayanta Chakraborty, DSP Central Rajendra Datta, DSP Sadar Harimohan Das and DCM had raided the houses of Biswarath Debbarma, Dilip Kumar Debbarma and Ambalika Dutta. According to SDPO Sanjay Biswas, they already examined bank Accounts of the trio, who were suspended by state government recently. Moreover Police have sought School Education Department’s help with crucial inputs. While looking into high-value transactions, investigators found some clues.

Now it is the duty of the Government to make proper investigation so that the actual truth should be revealed. On the other hand name of some political leaders is also brought into limelight.

From the accounts of Sangeeta Chakraborty and Kajal Rani Chakraborty, more than one crore rupees had been seized. Other than that, gold jewellery were also been recovered from their lockers.

It is to be mentioned here that on the basis of preliminary FIR filed by Director Manabendra Chakraborty, police had arrested Arnab after a long chase from Kolkata. At first he was sent to police remand for seven days and then to fourteen days jail custody. More secrets soon be revealed out- as informed by the Investigating Officer.

However, even though Police is trying their best or maybe trying to show that they are doing their best – but under heavy political influence, actual culprits will be kept shielded forever. As Tripura’s ruling party is blessed with a lame duck opposition (opposition party also known as "press-conference party"), so for the benefit of common people of Tripura - Its hightime that CBI should be asked to investigate RMSA scam by a sitting Judge of Tripura High Court to unearth the unholy nexus among Politicians, IAS officials and RMSA/Education Dept Staffs.
