The FIR was done by police alleging that during a rally held on January 30 against Citizenship Bill, the Tiprasa people raised slogan of “Hello China, Goodbye India”. Being asked by media regarding the charges, Aghore Debbarma said, out of miles-long agitators if anybody raised such slogan it’s not his fault, but police have to show whereas any slogan was raised by the leaders against whom the FIR was lodged. The other three leaders are : 1) INPT General Secretary Jagadish Debbarma, 2) Borok People Human Rights Organization leader Antony Debbarma, 3) Tipraha (IPFT) leader Aghore Debbarma. Aghore Debbarma further said, as BJP-IPFT Govt has failed fulfil a single promise thus now indulged to stop public and to move the issue in other directions.

“The rally was massive. The aim of the FIR is totally illegal because on that day in the middle of huge rally if anybody raised such slogan they have to prove it. I didn’t hear any such slogan and question doesn’t arise that I would raise such slogans”, he said.

“China is a Communist country and we don’t support China. There is no democracy in China. So, such slogan I can never imagine. But the slogan which I didn’t raise, how come they file an FIR against me?”, he said.
