AGARTALA, Jan 17 (TIWN): The 15th Finance Commission members led by Chairman N.K. Singh who had arrived here in Agartala on yesterday held a meeting with BJP-IPFT Govt led Cabinet Ministers.

This visit is a part of its dialogue with various states. The members will also interact with the representatives of the Panchayti Raj Institutions and the Urban Local Bodies. 

During the visit from Wednesday to Friday, the Commission met Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb and also hold meetings with the other Ministers of the cabinet as well as Govt Officers.

“Meetings are also scheduled with the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council, the representatives of the trade, commerce and industry bodies of the state and with representatives of various political parties,” the Commission told media on the background of the visit.
