SABROOM, Jan 15 (TIWN): Attempts of suppressing the voice of democracy going on under BJP era, as high profiled opposition leaders were served with court notice for holding a rally.

It has been known that court has issued the notice to MP Jitendra Choudhury, MLA Prabhat Choudhury, Sabroom Sub-Divisional Secretary Dipak Choudhury and more 51 others.

A rally was organized on December 24 with 7 points of demands placed to the SDM office, but in the court notice it was asked that why the party leaders held the rally without police permission.

Source mentioned, CPI-M had asked for permission but police didn’t allow CPI-M to organize the rally, but it was necessary to raise the demand on common people’s behalf.

Surprisingly, many activists of CPI-M received the notice who didn’t participate in the rally.

Moreover, while returning CPI-M activists faced attacks by ruling BJP activists and also FIR was lodged with miscreants names by the CPI-M.
