AGARTALA, Jan 6 (TIWN): Tripura Congress has called its former leaders, activists to join back in Congress, which they left before the Assembly Election due to “misunderstandingâ€.
Addressing in a press conference, Congress leader Gopal Roy said, “They left Congress and joined BJP, CPI-M due to misunderstanding. But now we invite all of you to come back. We will make a Govt in 2023”.
Gopal Roy also added that after 2019’s Lok Sabha Election, Modi will “lose” and BJP will “collapse” in Tripura.
However, the Congress leader talked about the importance of strengthening Congress in coming days.
Being asked by journalists, whether Congress will accept a direct Govt formation if maximum leaders break BJP and want to join back Congress in their same posts, Gopal Roy said, “Ofcourse, house’s boys will come back to own house. They are welcome”.
Congress leaders Prasanta Bhattacharjee, Tapas Dey were also present in that press meet.
