AGARTALA, Jan 2 (TIWN): Tripura High Court has expressed a total dissatisfaction on CBI slow move with journalist Sudip Datta Bhoumik murder case.
Sudip Datta Bhoumik was a journalist of Tripura, was allegedly killed by a police officer on 21st November, 2017 along with his colleagues of the Tripura State Rifles during an altercation. But recently two accused in the murder case were released in bail by High Court. All the accused were arrested under the previous CPI-M Govt.
Total four persons were arrested in Sudip Datta Bhoumik murder case : 1) Commandant of TSR 2nd Bn Tapan Debbarma, 2) Amit Debbarma, 3) Nandarai Reang, 4) Dharmendra Singh.
Amit Debbarma and Dharmendra Singh managed bail.
However, CBI is now killing time in this murder case investigation and as a result the accused are left in jail without any judicial procedure.
Earlier when Tripura Police were investigating the case in CPI-M Govt’s time, state journalists demanded CBI investigation in the case, as Tripura Police’s role either in CPI-M era or in BJP more or less has been bootlicking politicians.
But surprisingly, the journalists who took lead role in CBI investigation in CPI-M Govt’s time and travelled Delhi, met President of India under BJP’s funding, are no more bothered for faster CBI investigation in the case.
