AGARTALA, Dec 27 (TIWN): Tripura SSA teachers who directly or indirectly played an important role to unseat the 25 yrs ruling Left Front Govt, conducted a 7 days long hunger strike in 2017 going against the then ruling Govt for regularization are now totally frustrated over BJP Govt’s silence about their regularization after 9 months of Govt formation.
Before the election, Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Education/ Law Minister Ratan lal Nath along with other BJP leaders sat with the SSA teachers in hunger strike dais and criticized the previous CPI-M Govt for not regularizing them.
Also those BJP leaders alleged on that time, CPI-M Govt was bringing funds from centre but not paying to the SSA teachers, but after the election not even 14% hike was given to the teachers which were given to other regular employees.
Before election, present Law Minister Ratan lal Nath (as a BJP leader), sitting on hunger strike dais promised that BJP Govt will regularize them if voted to power, but like other fake promises, this promise has now turned as a JUMLA-drive of BJP to fool teachers to gain votes.
After almost 10 months of passage as there is no development in SSA’s regularization, rather they are suppressed from any protest with threats like “termination”, the teachers are fueling against the Govt, decided if not they can protest but ‘atleast not to vote for BJP’.
