Hyderabad / New York, Dec 13 (TIWN): Centering the municipal poll as over hundreds of attacks being taken place on the opposition activists and their houses, Tripurainfoway.com (TIWN) Editor Saumen Sarkar has sought President’s rule in Tripura.

“In 9 months of BJP Govt in Tripura, day-night brutal attacks were organized on the oppositions. Back in 2018’s February-March months before Assembly election, various promises were done to the people here starting from jobs to every home to smart phones to youths, 50,000 Govt jobs in one year and from Prime Minister Modi to Amit Shah kept on promising whatever was coming in their mouths. Tripura people were cheated under their Jumla-drive”, the Editor said.

Taking a dig at BJP State General Secretary Pratima Bhowmik, Sarkar firmly accused her for organizing all terrors across state, taking the opportunity of Biplab Deb as the Chief Minister.

“From extortion to attacks upon opposition parties and various narcotic chains, Pratima Bhowmik is chiefly responsible”, Sarkar added.

Back in 2017, when each murder had shaken Tripura, President’s rule was demanded by the then opposition BJP but now murders and violence level have increased ten times more.

Hardly there is any night which spared opposition from violent attacks. After Tuesday night’s various attacks upon opposition leaders, burning of party offices, on yesterday night also one innocent Krishna Shil’s house at Belonia was burnt just because he is a CPI-M supporter. That deadly fire not only burnt his whole house but also killed his domestic animal. Another party office of CPI-M was burnt at Dukli.

As taking the opportunity of having same Govt in State and Centre, BJP here is controlling from police machinery to other depts for wrong doings, the Editor has demanded President’s rule.
