JUMLA continues in Tripura : Biplab Deb’s letter force State Election Commission to reschedule date of election, Opposition blames BJP for destroying Democracy

AGARTALA, Dec 13 (TIWN): JUMLA continue to destroy democracy in Tripura under BJP President Biplab Deb & Crime Queen cum BJP General Secretary Pratima Bhowmik. The State Election Commission issued a notification exercised its power to change the dates of by-polls by using ‘Tripura Municipalities’ (conduct of election) rules-1995 on 11 December.However the notification was issued on December but no opposition political party received any notice from the commission neither the notice was upload in the website alleged the CPI-M party in a notification today.The CPI-M party issuing a statement raised question upon the election commission role on not informing the political parties and declaring the dates without seating with all political party leaders.

CPI-M further alleged for selecting 28 December as counting date, a day after vote which is unethical and against the norms of the elections.

The election was scheduled for 22 December but the Jumla party losing to congress in the state assembly polls of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan forced the party to influence the commission to change the dates a day after the results of assembly results.On the other hand attack upon the the congress activities continues as the party workers celebrate the win over BJP in three states of India which were also the backbones of the jumla party.

Several congress party workers houses, vehicles were vandalized were attacked by the goons of the BJP but this cannot stop the count down that has started on 11 December following the defeat in three States of India. 

The by-polls were called upon 158 seats of the different municipal bodies but the goons of the BJP won in 91 sets after threatening and stopping the oppositions from filling the nominations and contesting in the election. Now according to the fresh notification issued by the state election commission the by-polls will be held on 27 December and the counting would be made day after on 28 December in 67 seats of the municipal bodies.
