Bishalgarh, Dec 12 (TIWN): Tripura ex-CPI-M Minister Bhanulal Saha ahead of Municipal election which is scheduled to be held on December 22 said that any violence occurred anywhere in the state or will take place in future, the whole liability goes to the ruling Govt.
Addressing in a press conference, Bhanulal Saha said, “Out of 15 candidates, 5 had to withdraw their nominations for the Municipal election. 10 are now competing from Bishalgarh. In this condition not only we demand the safety of our candidates but we demand that the voting procedure should be democratic and people will fearlessly vote for the best candidate in each booth”.
“If the ruling party wants, it can decrease the terror immediately and after all behind all violence, the Govt itself is liable for its failure to safeguard the people”, he said.
“Amid much obstacles we have strict to 10-seats competitions. Huge terror had been prevailing during nomination filing. House to house attacks were done and from December 1st to December 9 total 11 complaints were lodged. We demand cooperation from the ruling party”, Saha told media.
