AGARTALA, Dec 8 (TIWN): Opposition CPI-M has slammed Tripura Police over their illegal biasness for BJP goons, who forced candidates to give up election battle earlier in Panchayat Election and now in Municipal Election. CPI-M State Secretary Gautam Das said, “In Udaipur out of 14 candidates, 14 had to surrender their nominations and in Melaghar 2 of our candidates were kidnapped, rest were attacked. In maximum attacks police helped the miscreants to continue poll violence, which is not only shameful but also freak, never happened earlier in state. In broad day light our candidates were attacked, their houses were burnt, destroyed, vandalized”. Being asked by media, whether CPI-M is going to file cases the courts, Das said, “Ofcourse, wherever possible, we will go to the courts but rest we leave upon the court of common men and voters”. CPPI-M spokesperson Bijan Dhar raised question, why BJP is much afraid of facing the people of the state in election when just 9 months back, BJP-IPFT won with massive victory. Dhar further charged the BJP Govt for taking Tripura into a Civil War by massive tortures and killing, attacking way.CPI-M also staged protest yesterday in front of Police Headquarter, asking them reason for police’s unneutral role with opposition and looting of democracy.

Deputy opposition leader Badal Chaudhury told media, how far such undemocratic way of ruling can be tolerated ?

Noteworthy, the ruling BJP under its poll-rigging was succeeded to grab 91 seats in the upcoming Municipal election without any contest.Earlier, BJP occupied 67 seats by force or threat but in last two days violence many oppositions surrendered their nominations which made BJP able to win 91 seats without contest out of 158 seats.

In such attacks however, there is no hide and seek as the attacks held openly are now viral.
