AGARTALA, Dec 7 (TIWN): Much propagated “HIRA” for Tripura has now become a “JUMLA” promise of Modi Govt as after 9 months of long pause in infrastructure developmental works, the BJP led State Govt is now bound to take Rs. 200 crores loans from LIC and Hadco.

BJP Govt after assuming power in Tripura imposed various taxes, hiked fares and commodity price went high. It was said that by collected taxes from cess on fuel, roadways will be developed.

At the same time, various ongoing recruitments were cancelled led 32% unemployment rate in the state right now, which is the highest in the whole country.

In this condition, when Chief Minister Biplab Deb visited Delhi multiple times, claiming he would draw huge central fund from Delhi, in return nothing was received led the State Govt to decide to take 200 crores of loans now.

Moreover, the present BJP Govt has criticized the previous CPI-M Govt for taking so many projects in hands including health dept buildings which were beyond “capacity”.

However, 2014 Tripura has been depriving of Central fund even though being Northeast state Tripura deserved 100% funding and in the Verma Committee report it has been said that since the Modi Govt (2014 year), funding from central has been minimized.

It was hoped that after BJP comes in power, massive funding will flow in Tripura but now what is happening is totally at the opposite of expectation and PM Modi has forgotten Tripura after his party was done Assembly Election victory.
