AGARTALA, Dec 3 (TIWN): ‘7 days long hunger strike’, ‘filing cases against the ruling Govt’, holding press conference on Govt criticism and ‘gherao’ of Chief Minister’s quarter all are forgotten episodes in Tripura now. TIWN is receiving plenty of complaints from unemployed youths, contractual staffs and many more deprived people that everyone is afraid to raise voice. The way attacks upon media are continuing and open broad day light attacks are done on the oppositions, the common men are unable to come out in protest. Chief Minister Biplab Deb at the very beginning warned that the ‘era of protest has been ended now and those who want to protest they should sit in homes’. After few protests were done on 4 months of Govt formation like B.Ed students movement in front of Secretariat when Tripura BJP Govt started its ill attempt of appointing teachers without B.Ed qualification and police job aspirants protested in front of CM’s residence, BJP Govt took various undemocratic moves to kill those raising voices.

In case of B.Ed students movement at least 40 students were served with notices whereas in case of police job aspirants, the agitators were arrested.

In that way, the protest movement were stopped and many unemployed youths are complaining that they are not even able to ask anything to the Govt, neither have any deputation to any depts  Minister.

After suppressing unemployed youths voices, now, BJP Govt has sponsored total violence ahead of Municipal Election. At the same time, ahead of Lok Sabha Election statewide attacks upon media has been started.

Imphal-based journalist Kishorechandra Wangkhem has been arrested under the National Security Act (NSA) for uploading controversial videos criticising the BJP-led Manipur government for observing Rani of Jhansi’s birth anniversary and allegedly using abusive words against the CM.

TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar’s reaction to the Saddam Era was no more different than the ‘pressure cooker burst’ theory became much popular after 5 innocents  were arrested with an anti-terror law on charges of Maoist activities and the five judges bench led by the Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra asked the Maharashtra Govt, “Dissent is the safety valve of democracy. If you don't allow the safety valve pressure cooker will burst”.

In the same way, the Editor has claimed that time will come when each and everybody will go against the ruling Govt, referring the arrest of Dipak Debnath recently after he shared a news of Tripurainfoway.com.

Right now, Tripura has 8 lakhs unemployed youths, MGNREGA works have been stopped almost, terminations are going on, massive violence centering the election is going on. In this situation BJP Govt continues pressure-cooker theory to stop any opposition or Govt criticism voice.
