LONGTARAI VALLEY, Dec 2 (TIWN): Longtarai Valley has been undergoing total shutdown since morning as Bijoy Borua’s brutal murder has shaken the subdivision. Borua was killed in an attack took place on November 25 evening led by BJP miscreants under Joydeep Chakraborty and his team who have beaten him severely and forced his father by threatening to withdraw the FIR which led Bijoy to commit suicide out of insult. This incident generated mass resentment among the common men led huge response to the CPI-M called 12 hours strike at Longtarai valley subdivision. Normal lives have been affected heavily in the strike, whereas vehicles transported in very less numbers. Security has been tightened in the subdivision, but the whole area is tensed. The CPI-M activist Bijoy Borua was injured brutally by BJP Yuva Morcha activists and left him even psychologically effected with multiple attacks on the head.Bijoy was 25 years old, was beaten severely on 25th November.

He was beaten heavily on his chest, head, immediately taken to Manughat hospital. From there, he was referred to Dhalai Dist hospital. 

But after that out of insult, Bijoy poisoned ownself and died. CPI-M has called 12 hours long shutdown at Longtarai Valley tomorrow.During his treatment at Dhalai District he told media, that BJP leader Babul Sarkar had brought him by force in town hall area. Then around 10-12 people had beaten him, slapped him continuously, injured him in his chest and head multiple times. Before the incident various BJP goons led by Saju Das and Raju Das also threatened him not to come out of home.

His father Kumud Borua said, “Joy Chakraborty was the mastermind of the incident whereas Nipul Sarkar,Babul Sarkar, Saju Das, Samrat Das, Joydeep Chakraborty they beaten him first at Manu Bridge and then brought him in Town Hall. After Kulai hospital, when we brought him in GB hospital it was found that his head was injured, , mussels were also left in bad condition, neck too and 3 bones of his chest were broken. After beating he is was forced to give statement before the BJP goons that he is a drug seller and they recorded it”.

 “The incident took place on 25^th November and then I was threatened by them and as I didn’t know that my son was tortured to that extend I withdraw the case. Out of insult, he consumed poison”, his father added.
