AGARTALA,Nov 25 (TIWN): Monster era of Tripura BJP ahead of Lok Sabha Election reeling the state into a total madness, chaos and deteriorating law and order. Attack upon opposition voices is increasing day by day and whenever a suppressed voice attempts to raise, it's tortured, arrested and sometimes killed.
One Dipak Debnath was arrested after he shared, debated on a news published in Tripurainfoway.com which questioned on BJP MLA Krishnadhan Das and Chief Minister Biplab Deb's qualifications.
In Tripura's history such arrest never happened before BJP era that a person was arrested just because he has posted a news item in facebook. Lawyers said, police not only illegally arrested Dipak Debnath but the FIR was lodged much later than the arrest.
"After arresting Dipak Debnath, he was forwarded under 505 section, Act-2. But as we saw in the FIR there was no mention about any proper complaint on the basis of which a person can be arrested. In the court, police said that in the CD everything is there, but it was not shared with us", Dipak Debnath's lawyers told media.
"The arrest timing was most interesting. He was arrested at night 2 am and the FIR was lodged at 6.30 am today morning and we have told the court regarding this. Police said that Dipak was given notice under Section : 41 (A) but very hurriedly he was arrested and no notice in reality was served. It is a violation of the law", the lawyers of Dipak Debnath said.
The lawyer said that neither any notice nor any proper reason could be given by police behind his arrest.
Dipak Debnath was arrested on yesterday night on the basis of one BJP Bamutia leader, MLA Krishnadhan's close person Kajal Dey had filed a complaint against him.
Dipak Debnath is a resident of Rajnagar, Agartala was arrested on yesterday night after BJP local Kajal Dey filed an FIR against him and sources said, Dipak was brutally tortures by police. Then he was produced before the court. Dipak was released on bail by court, but before registering FIR he was arrested. He was arrested at 12.45 am (midnight) from his home. Section 505 was charged against Dipak Debnath.
Dipak has been released on bail by the court.
