AGARTALA, September 28 (TIWN): The Chhatrabandhu Club is thrown open for public viewing from today itself, said organizing secretary Ashok Ghosh here this morning. Speaking to TIWN organizing secretary Ashok Ghosh said that to attract the Durga Puja pandal hoopers this year has made the idol of Maa Durga of pearls, so the club has decided to open the pandal for public viewing from today.
He further said that this year the has spend Rs. 32 lakhs for Druga Puja and the cost of the idol is Rs. 12.50 lakh and a total of forty two thousand pearls were used to build the idol of Goddess Maa Durga.
We have also arranged special effects lighting for which we are spending a huge amount this year which is much higher than previous years, he added.
