AGARTALA, Nov 15 (TIWN): With full enthusiasm Northeast Youth Festival 2018 has been started today at Agartala. Performers from 8 Northeast states have gathered on this occasion.

 Like every year "Yuva Utsav" has been kicked off to connect the North States culturally and this time on the occasion of 6th Yuva Utsav the venue has been set at Agartala Astabal Stadium.

Tripura Sports Minister Manoj Deb in press address said, "Every year Sports Dept holds Yuva Utsav and out of any 8 States in the Northeast India, one State is selected. This year Tripura has been selected in the venue. The aim of the programme has remained cultural exchanges among Northeast States".

The programme to be conducted for November 15 to November 19. Eight states as Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland,Sikkim, and Tripura will participate in that programme.

The Sports Minister mentioned, it will be great opportunity for Tripura to represent own culture, tradition in a huge platform. At least 1000 participants will take part in this programme representing Tripura. Tight security arrangements will be set during the programme. 

On 16th November Bengali Fossils Band will be performing in Astabal stadium, whereas on November 18 singer Alka Yagnik will sing songs.
