Agartala, September 27 (TIWN): The joint team of Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) today raided the regional office of Rose Valley Agartala. 3 SFIO officiers and 2 ED officials from Kolkata started their drill into the Rose Valley office since 11 AM, on Thrusday. The raid was on till 8 PM.
All the employees of the office were grilled besides the inspection of all the documents and reports. The team has seized number of documents which had shown discrepancy. Director Santosh Bhoumik, Assistant Regional Manager Sandip Chakraborty and Branch Manager Shyamal Dey were interrogated separately to unearth the hidden facts. With an intention to evade the liability Santosh Bhoumik rested all the responsibility on the shoulders of his predecessor Ashok Saha. But, Ashok Saha had moved away to Kolkata long back after the Saradha scam. Now, this can be predicted as Rose Valley Agartala’s probable involvement in the Saradha scam which shook the entire West Bengal and nation more than a year ago.
Meanwhile, the ED has acquired all the necessary information about Ashok Saha’s address, family, phone number and location. ED, the central investigating agency of Ministry of Finance also interrogated some of the depositors of Agartala taking them to the Directote’s Delhi office. The ED’s stringent actions in the issue, now seems to move in a proactive way and the same may disclose more shocking disclosures in near future.
