UDAIPUR Nov 6 (TIWN): Gomati District Administration is all set for Diwali 2018 at Udaipur Matabari which will be inaugurated tomorrow. 5 lakhs devotees and tourists from different parts of the country as well as Bangladesh expected to gather this year. For the interests of pilgrims and tourists more than 2000 police personnel will be deployed only in Tripura sundari temple and fair complex . Moreover,police personnel with civilian clothes too will be there to provide safety and security. Artisans are busy to give final touches in the decoration, whereas from flower decoration to other preparations have received momentum. However, this time saffron colour was visible across Matabari premise as this is the first ever Diwali under BJP Govt. Earlier, BJP Govt came under controversy by saffronizing Agartala Durga Bari, but in Matabari the saffron colour has been across temple premise whereas Matabari main temple is light saffron but not red as earlier. Workers were busy whole night to make all the Govt stalls and commercial stalls ready just before Tuesday. The entire temple and fair complex will be monitored through CCTV.

Apart from that, around 500 volunteers of NCC, Disaster Management Team and Quick Response Team as well as Mobile Medical unit too will be available during the two day long festival. 

Cultural teams will perform non-stop to entertain the crowds. The temple and its surroundings have been illuminated with lights. Historical Udaipur is now waiting to receive lakhs of pilgrims in Matabari. Sadhus from various parts of the country have started to throng into MataBari. The world famous 'Pera' of MataBari made from Kheer are ready for customers.

Tripura Sundari Temple is a Hindu temple of Goddess Tripura Sundari, better known locally as Devi Tripureshwari. The temple is situated in the ancient city of Udaipur, about 55 km from Agartala, Tripura. It is believed to be one of the holiest Hindu shrines in this part of the country.
