AGARTALA, Nov 4 (TIWN): CPI-M and other Leftist parties are fuming in resentment as BJP Govt has announced no more holiday on May Day.
May Day is a public holiday usually celebrated on 1 May. It is an ancient Northern Hemisphere spring festival and a traditional spring holiday in many cultures. Dances, singing, and cake are usually part of the festivities across world.
CPI-M for decades have observed May Day whereas all Govt offices, institutions remained close on that day. But as May Day restrained to be observed as "Holiday", CPI-M has expressed huge resentments.
This is a special occasion for CPI-M as this day is dedicated to the working class people. CPI-M claims themselves as representative of working class/ poor people and party works for the development of that particular class.
